PUBLICUS PROCUREMENT AGENT · GOVERNMENT ENGAGEMENT PRICING

Engagements scale with accuracy, complexity, and volume.

A government engagement configures the Publicus platform for your department's documents and delivers a permanent capability. Its price is driven by the accuracy your workflow requires, the complexity of your source documents, and how many document types must be configured. A short, single-source engagement is a fraction of a multi-source platform build.

Accuracy required

Each additional "nine" of accuracy costs multiplicatively more — ensemble validation, human-in-the-loop review, per-record evidence.

90% → 95% → 99% → 99.9% → 99.99%

Document complexity

Structured data — ERP extracts, proactive-disclosure tables — parses cheaply. Unstructured documents — contracts, invoices, task authorizations — need OCR, vision models, and content-aware extraction, categorically more work.

structured → semi → unstructured

Number of document types

How many distinct document types must be configured. Configuration is one-time; the pipeline then processes that type forever, with no reconfiguration.

1 type · short → many types · platform

Configuration cost per document type

The largest part of an engagement is one-time configuration: teaching the platform a document type to the target accuracy. Each cell is the cost to configure one document type at that accuracy and complexity — this is what an engagement is priced on.

Cost = $16,020 base × accuracy factor × complexity factor · rates shown at the 1–3 type tier; volume discounts below.

Structured — clean tabular sources that parse directly: ERP and financial-system extracts, proactive-disclosure data already in tables, database and API exports.
Unstructured — documents with no fixed schema: contracts, invoices, task authorizations, scanned PDFs. These need OCR, vision models, and content-aware extraction.

Read any cell as the base configuration cost ($16,020) times its accuracy and complexity factors. The 99.9% row is the high-assurance tier most government workflows need. The 99.99% mission-critical tier above it (near-zero error tolerance, for regulatory or financial workflows) costs more again, so a 99.9% engagement is deliberately not the most expensive option. A lower-accuracy, structured engagement costs a fraction of either. An engagement's total is the sum of its configured types, plus ongoing processing (priced separately, below).

Volume discounts on configuration

The per-type rate drops as more document types are configured in one engagement (99.9% rates shown).

11+ types$92,750 / type (−30%)$44,860 / source (−30%)

What one configuration includes

One-time engineering to teach the platform a document type to the target accuracy.

  1. 1Document schema + layout analysis
  2. 2Extraction-model tuning for the type
  3. 3Field mapping + taxonomy alignment
  4. 4Validation ruleset development
  5. 5Test-corpus accuracy tuning to threshold
  6. 6Bilingual handling setup

Reaching high accuracy on a new document type takes hundreds of senior-engineering hours and embeds a pre-built multi-agent platform. Comparable custom data-engineering integrations run $500,000 to $1,000,000+ per long-term pipeline. Each configured type is a permanent capability — built once, it processes that document type forever. This configuration, not per-page processing, is what a platform engagement is priced on.

A separate pricing model · ongoing processing

Ongoing processing — per page & per query

A distinct pricing model from engagement configuration. Once the platform is configured, processing additional documents and running natural-language queries is priced per unit at the standard rates below. This is how you pay for more after the platform exists — it is not the basis of the engagement price above.

Per-page processing

Enrichment processing of additional documents through an already-configured pipeline, beyond the in-contract corpus. The per-page rate drops as annual volume rises.

Annual volume tierRate per pageDiscount
Up to 50,000 pages$0.68 / page
50,001 – 200,000 pages$0.55 / page−19%
200,001 – 500,000 pages$0.45 / page−34%
500,001 – 1,000,000 pages$0.38 / page−44%
1,000,001+ pages$0.30 / page−56%

What one processed page includes

Every page passes through the full pipeline — not raw OCR.

  1. 1Ingestion + layout/format detection
  2. 2OCR + vision-model pass (unstructured)
  3. 3Multi-agent field extraction
  4. 4Taxonomy classification
  5. 5Vendor name resolution / deduplication
  6. 6Cross-document linking
  7. 7Accuracy validation (ensemble + judged; human-in-the-loop at 99.9%)
  8. 8Lineage + audit logging
  9. 9Bilingual (EN/FR) processing where applicable

Natural-language queries

Token-based pricing for natural-language queries beyond the contracted volume. Tiers apply to combined input and output tokens consumed per month; volume discounts apply.

Monthly tokensInput / 1KOutput / 1K
Up to 10M$0.60$3.00
10M – 50M$0.51 (−15%)$2.55 (−15%)
50M – 250M$0.42 (−30%)$2.10 (−30%)
250M+$0.33 (−45%)$1.65 (−45%)

What one query includes

One billed query is the output of a full pipeline — many model calls, retrieval, citation, audit — not a single raw model call.

  1. 1Query understanding
  2. 2Embedding + vector retrieval across the corpus
  3. 3Re-ranking of retrieved passages
  4. 4Context assembly
  5. 5Answer generation
  6. 6Citation linking to source records
  7. 7Audit logging
  8. 8Bilingual parity check
